Since the GenesisHR Battlegreen Run began in 1996, the race has raised more than half a million dollars for area nonprofit organizations.
Nonprofits earn funds from the run in two ways. First, they receive a portion of the race proceeds once expenses are tallied. Second and most importantly, they can form teams that leverage the race to fundraise.
Since the GenesisHR Battlegreen Run began in 1996, the race has raised over one million dollars for area nonprofit organizations.
In 2020, we faced unique challenges for the run as social distancing guidelines forced a virtual only event. But so, too, did the nonprofits we support. While the Board of Directors considered canceling the 2020 event, we also recognized that we provide essential funds to many small, local organizations–many of whom were and still are struggling during this time. In 2020 as a virtual only race we distributed over $75,000 to our nonprofit partners. In 2022 with live and virtual racing we raised over $100,000. We did that again in 2023 and with your support can accomplish that goal in 2024.
We welcome nonprofits to join our GenesisHR Battlegreen Run in 2024.
